Programme Council, the academic body of the Centre for Protestant Studies Gáspár Károli, held its regular meeting on December 10, 2023. The meeting was preceded by a preparatory session, convened on October 29, 2023, during which the Programme Council members had determined their forthcoming Regular Meeting agenda.

Five out of six research fellows took part in the Programme Council’s December meeting, of which one of the attendants joined in by way of an online video-audio communication software. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Csaba Szűcs.

The predominant part of the Programme Council’s meeting handled issues dealing with the set up and more detailed outlining of the upcoming second international Károli Forum, planned for Spring next year. The date of the upcoming Károli Forum was set for June 1, 2024. After reviewing a number of proposed ideas, the Council defined the topic of Károli Forum MMXXIV as ‘The Protestant Worldview – Changes and Challenges’.

In the course of its regular meeting, according to the internal Scientific Research Regulations, the Programme Council unanimously nominated Mr. David Fic, a master student at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, as the Centre for Protestant Studies Gáspár Károli’s research associate.
