On June 24, 2024 the academic assistant of the Heidelberg University Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences Ms Deepa E. John and the international relations officer of the Subotica Centre for Protestant Studies Gáspár Károli Dr Damir Sütő held a welcoming introduction audience at the Heidelberg Graduate School headquarters. The topic of the meeting was presenting the two organisations’ academic activities and plans aimed at identifying imaginable future cooperation possibilities.
The Heidelberg Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Heidelberger Graduiertenschule für Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften – HGGS) is a central University institute for doctoral candidates in the humanities, law and social sciences that find the exchange with academics from other disciplines as an important part of their own research. Ms John pointed out that in addition to the core interdisciplinary academic programme, HGGS also offers selected seminars, lectures, workshops and conferences that provide the PhD candidates with a constructive forum for reflecting on their own dissertation projects.
Following Dr Sütő’s presentation of the Károli Research Centre’s activities and projects, the participants to the meeting mutually recognised various points of conceivable future academic cooperation. In this respect further communication is scheduled for July 2024 with Dr Astrid Wind, the HGGS managing director & academic coordinator.
