Owing to the generosity of contributors from the Republic of Hungary, in 2022 the Centre for protestant studies Gáspár Károli was able to establish its internal library unit. The number of bestowed books and various printed publications reached a total of approximately 4000 respective titles.

Simultaneously with the admission of received books, Centre’s volunteers furnished the library premises. In this respect, during the year, the book repository was equipped with appropriate flooring, customary bookshelves, and six tailor-made reading desks.

The management of the Centre for protestant studies Gáspár Károli has set up a separate Library development committee, whose tasks include observing all the requirements necessary for library’s official launching. Members of the committee are Mrs. Mónika Birkás and Mr. Csaba Szűcs.

Activities on setting up the library’s online catalogue, as well as other relevant segments is led by Mrs. Mónika Birkás, the Centre’s librarian.

The initial official presentation of Károli Library is scheduled for June 2023.
