On February 19, Dr Damir Sütő, the President of the Centre for Protestant Studies Gáspár Károli Programme Council and the Centre’s international relations officer, visited the University of Szeged’s Rectorate in Szeged, where he had a constructive discussion on further development of Károli Centre’s international relations.
The meeting was attended by Dr Péter Zakar, historian, the University of Szeged Vice-Rector for International and Public Relations, university professor at the Gál Ferenc University and the University of Szeged’s Department of History, President of the Délvidék Research Center, and Editor-in-Chief of the Délvidéki Szemle academic journal; Dr András Döbör, historian, Associate Professor at the University of Szeged, Director of Vocational and Adult Education and Dean of the Juhász Gyula Faculty of Education, Dr Lajos Forró, Dean for Public Relations, Department Chair and Associate Professor at the University of Szeged, Editor-in-Chief of TiszapART cultural television, Vice-President of the Délvidék Research Center, a member of the Hungarian Subdivision of the Hungarian-Serbian Joint Academic Committee; and Dr Ádám Hegyi, church historian, Associate Professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage and Human Information Science of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Szeged.
The meeting was held in an exceptional atmosphere. The President of the Program Council presented the previous year’s Károli Forum Conference Proceedings, as well as the Centre’s other programs and activities. The hosts, inter alia, in detail introduced the work of their Délvidék Research Center.
Finally, the researchers discussed the possibility of future joint work and collaboration. Dr Sütő extended a cordial invitation for the upcoming Károli Forum, which will be held in June this year in Subotica.
