Richárd Morvai-Rácz, a standing research assistant within the Gáspár Károli Centre for Protestant Studies took part in this year’s local history workshop dialogue organized by the Csongrád County Local History Association, held in Szeged, Hungary, on March 21.
In his presentation titled ‘The Significance of Studying Demographic Changes in Local History Research’, Morvai-Rácz aimed to highlight the potentials of the use of demographic processes in local history research through an interdisciplinary approach. Additionally, he discussed the role of this topic in general education and the possibilities for its application. He presented his lecture in the section titled ‘Urban Knowledge, Local History, Field Observation’.
The Csongrád County Local History Association this year held its workshop for the ninth time. The event being organized with occasional breaks since 2015, this year used the motto: ‘Let’s Discover! I am at Home…’. In 2025, attendees had the opportunity to hear 17 lectures, given by speakers not only from the Csongrád-Csanád County, but as well from Romania and Serbia.
