Richárd Morvai-Rácz, standing research assistant of the Centre for Protestant Studies Gáspár Károli, presented his latest study at the SZOFIKON higher education conference, held in Pécs at the end of February and the beginning of March this year. With his work titled Contributions to the First Decades of the Workers’ Movement in Bačka and Banat (1868-1890), Morvai-Rácz gave a lecture on the conference III History Science section, in which he revised the existing perspectives in historiography as well as presented numerous historical sources to a large audience at the University of Pécs Faculty of Sciences.
Following its recent restoration, the University of Pécs Faculty of Sciences János Szentágothai Protestant College of Advanced Studies (PTE TTK SZJSZK) organizes its Szentágothai Higher Education Interdisciplinary Conference (SZOFIKON) with the aim of reviving its tradition. The Conference presentations were followed by an open discussion, after which conference proceedings were distributed among participants. In the conference papers volume planned for publication later this year, some of the presented studies – including that of our colleague – will be available for the interested community.
